Although little experience is required, you should be competent at kayaking and aware of the risks with weather changing conditions Bunbury has a diverse range of paddling options available in all weather conditions and the following are examples of where you may want to paddle Leschenault Estuary A variety of entry points from Pelican Point through to Ridley Place and up to the top of the estuary on the scenic drive, Allows you to explore the estuary, its bird life and fishing options as well as landing on the Peninsula conversation Park to take up walking and camping options. Leschenault Inlet and Mangroves Launching options vary from the Power Boat Club, Koombana Bay Caravan Park and the Rowing Club to explore the inlet, the old launches at the Bunbury Yacht Club, the mangroves and maybe a lunch and a quite beer at the Parade Hotel Koombana Bay, Mantra, Old Timber Jetty and the Greenroom This tour option takes in varies sights such as the yachts of the Koombana Bay sailing club, the protected beaches at the Mantra and the Vat2. You can also paddle under the Historical Old Timber Jetty and the land backed wharf (the greenroom), to emerge and land on one of Bunbury’s Northern most and secluded beaches. This tour allows for plenty refreshments and refuelling pit stops. Collie River Launch at Pelican Point and paddle up stream to some open farmland areas where the bypass bridge crosses the river and along the way pack a picnic or take a rod to see whether there are any bream around. This is a great tour in all weather conditions. Camping Option BYO light weight camping gear or hire from us. Paddle to either the cut or Tuart Grove Camping areas on the Peninsula for your own over night or weekender adventure.
