ABOUT DEKKED OUT ADVENTURES

Dekked Out Adventures is a key provider of outdoor recreation programs to schools, corporations, groups and individuals living in or visiting the southwest of Western Australia.

Established in 1997 by John and Helen Leyendekkers the business is focused on delivering recreational skills development, and uses a range of activities to build leadership and self-confidence opportunities into each activity and adventure. With both John and Helen coming from a teaching background it wasn’t long before the business found its niche with school groups – as John and Helen understand the unique aims and requirements of the modern education system and the demands that outdoor recreational programs place on teachers and students.

John is at home on the water and, as most of the southwest of Western Australia resides close by the water, he has developed programs and his business to fully utilise this resource. In the process John has gained a reputation as one of the safest and most experienced sea-kayak/river instructors in Western Australia.

Staff are a key component to the delivery of a safe and pleasurable adventure program. Dekked Out Adventures spend a lot of time training and preparing each staff member in the safe execution of any new program component or adventure route. With a safety record as good as Dekked Out Adventures, it’s easy to see why teachers, students and individuals come back for more – even after John and his staff have pushed them to their limit.
